Rastko Cvekic running for Governing Council

Rastko Cvekic of our department is running for Governing
Council, in Graduate Student Constituency I (Humanities and Social
Sciences). Governing Council is the highest decision-making body at
UofT and more info about the election can be found at

Voting takes place online through ROSI from February 11th to 22nd. Please spread the word.

I am an upper year PhD student in the Department of Anthropology. During my seven years at UofT I have held numerous positions on the Anthropology Graduate Student Union, departmental committees, the GSU and CUPE 3902. If elected, I will provide a strong voice for all graduate students in Divisions I and II, and especially international students who cannot sit on Governing Council. Two of my top priorities are the replacement of full tuition with lower post-residency fees and the recruitment of more Aboriginal students at the graduate level.
